‘We know Falconets are a very complicated team, very physical,’ says Venezuela coach

Venezuela women’s U20 team will be eager to make more history when they face Nigeria on Saturday in their final group game of the ongoing FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup in Colombia.

The South Americans earned their first point of the campaign following their draw with the Korea Republic at the Metropolitano de Techo stadium, in the city of Bogotá.

They are yet to win a U-20 Women’s World Cup match, having lost four and drawn one of their five games at the tournament.

Now they are going for their first win against a Nigerian side that have won one and lost one of the two games played so far and who only need a win to book a knockout phase ticket.

Nigeria have lost only one of their previous five U-20 Women’s World Cup matches against South American teams, winning three and drawing one of those contests.

But Pamela Conti, coach of the Venezuela Ladies, says her girls will give anything against the Falconets on Saturday at the Estadio Olimpico Pascual Guerrero in Cali.

‘We have seen Nigeria, we know that they are a very complicated team, very physical – but let’s give everything because we want to advance to the next round,’ she said via FIFA.com.
