‘We Will Be Champions Again’: Osimhen’s Bold Message to Özbek After Surgery

Victor Osimhen has assured Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek that the club will end the season as champions, despite suffering a fractured arm in the away match against Liverpool.

The Nigerian striker underwent surgery in Istanbul after the injury and was visited by Özbek, who came to offer support.

According to reports, Osimhen delivered a bold message immediately after the operation, telling the president: ‘I will be in time for the Fenerbahçe derby. We will be champions at the end of the season.’

Galatasaray’s management made special arrangements for both Osimhen and teammate Noa Lang, who was also injured in the Liverpool clash.

Sportif AŞ deputy president Abdullah Kavukcu and club doctor Yener İnce stayed behind in England to oversee their care, while the club later rented separate planes to send Osimhen to Nigeria and Lang to the Netherlands for recovery.

The gestures were said to have deeply moved both players, who felt supported throughout the process.

Osimhen’s determination to return in time for the crucial Fenerbahçe derby has lifted spirits within the squad. With Galatasaray locked in a tight title race, his vow to deliver the championship has become a rallying cry for the team and fans alike.
