‘We will see together’: Nwakaeme on uncertain Trabzonspor future

Anthony Nwakaeme’s return to action for Trabzonspor has reignited speculation about his future at the club.

The Nigerian forward, who came on as a second-half substitute in the 2-1 victory over Kasımpaşa, spoke candidly after the match, making it clear that his destiny lies in the hands of the club’s leadership.

Reflecting on the win, Nwakaeme told beIN Sports: ‘The team is happy, Trabzon is happy. When we get 3 points, we are very happy, our city is also happy.’

Pressed about whether he would remain with the burgundy-blue side, Nwakaeme responded: ‘I’m still healthy, I can play, but you don’t know what will happen in football. Our coach and president will make the decisions. Whatever happens at the end of the day, whether I stay or go, we will see together.’

The 36-year-old’s comments effectively shifted the responsibility to Trabzonspor’s management, leaving fans eager to see whether the club will extend his stay or prepare for life without one of their most experienced figures.
