Yamal Vs Ejuke: It’s the battle of LaLiga best dribblers at Camp Nou
The focus Sunday night will be on the three points on offer at the Camp Nou when Barcelona host Sevilla in a LaLiga match week 10 game but there will be another battle which may help decide where the pendulum of victory swings-and it is that between home boy, Lamine Yamal and Nigeria’s Chidera Ejuke who will be playing for the visitors.
Ejuke, according to the LaLiga website, has completed the greatest number of successful dribbles in the LaLiga so far this term. His 28 is however just one better than Yamal who is regarded as the best teenage footballer in the world today and has already been likened to the great Lionel Messi.
The Sevilla winger will be hoping he can dribble his side to their first away win of the season and first against Barcelona in 14 years. The 26-year-old will also be aiming to score his first goal in his first game against Barcelona.
Ejuke has scored once this term, and it was the winner in Sevilla’s 2-1 defeat of Real Valladolid CF last month at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in Seville.
Barcelona coach, Hans Flick has confirmed the availability of Yamal for the game following the injury he suffered during the international break.
‘I have spoken to Lamine, and he is ready to play tomorrow (today),’ Flick said at the pre-match press conference on Saturday.
