21 Eagles in Constantine camp for Algeria friendly

Iheanacho, Uzoho yet to arrive as team holds first training session

The trio of Atalanta of Italy forward Ademola Lookman, Casa Pia of Portugal left winger Godwin Saviour and goalkeeper Adeleye Adebayo of Istraeli club, Hapoel Jerusalem arrived the Super Eagles camp in Constantine, Algeria Tuesday evening to bring the total number of players in camp to 21.

This means only the trio of Kelechi Iheanacho who played alongside already in camp Wilfred Ndidi in the Foxes’ 6-2 hammering iby Tottenham at the weekend, goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and Rivers United’s left back, Ebube Duru are still being expected as at the time of going to the press.

As many as 18 players led by assistant captain, Willaim Troost-Ekong, in-form Everton midfielder, Alex Iwobi and red-hot goaloacher, Terem Moffi arrived the team’s nest in Algeria Monday evening.

The duo of captain Ahmed Musa and Villarreal of Spain winger, Samuel Chukwueze have been ruled out of the two friendly games against the desert Foxes of Algeria.

Musa fractured his arm and will reportedly be out for one month while the nature of Chukwueze’s injury was not disclosed.

Earlier, Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen and real Sociedad new signing, Umar Sadiq were forced out of the team due to injury.

While Osimhen is expected back next month, Sadiq has been ruled out for the season after rupturing his ligament.
