LMC frowns at Plateau United choice of language on social media

Plateau United has been reprimanded for using language adjudged not represent the values of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on its social media handle (Twitter).

The said post while intended to hype their home fixture against Abia Warriors, deployed unacceptable descriptions to project their expectations of the outcome.

The League Management Company (LMC) appreciates the individual efforts of clubs to project their fixtures and by extension, gain traction for matchdays but frowns at descriptions that are vulgar, alluding to violence and the use of prohibited beverages.

Plateau United and other clubs are therefore enjoined to be moderate in their use of language to preserve the good of the NPFL which essentially seeks to empower young impressionable Nigerians to find expression for their innate talents

The LMC will not hesitate to apply the rules when further breach of decorum on any communication platform.
