Lookman looking to become Atalanta’s 10th highest goal scorer in history, eyes 50th goal in 109 games

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman needs just one goal to hit the half century mark and move into the top 10 list of top scorers in the history of Atalanta and the Nigerian will be seeking to reach that milestone against Juventus, a side he has scored twice against in four appearances.
Lookman has scored 49 times in 108 appearances for the Bergamo-based side with 36 of the goals coming in 83 games in the Serie A. He scored five times in seven appearances for the club in the UEFA Champions League and five goals, including that trophy-winning hat-trick in 11 Europa League games.
The 27-year-old also scored three times in five appearances in the Coppa Italia.
Lookman has unarguably been Atalanta’s best player in the last two seasons, winning back-to-back player of the season at the Gewiss Stadium.
A goal on Sunday against Juventus will move him up to joint 10th in the all-time list of Atalanta top scorers with Jørgen Leschly who scored 50 times in 134 appearances for the club.
The Nigerian has scored 17 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions for Atalanta so far this term, equaling his last season’s haul from 45 games.
A goal on Sunday will take his total haul to 18, his best in a season since he moved to Atalanta in August 2022. He scored 15 goals in 33 appearances in his first season at the club.
