Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Mozambique: Who Will Face Nigeria in AFCON 2025 Round of 16?

Nigeria’s Super Eagles sealed a flawless group stage campaign at AFCON 2026 with a 3–1 victory over Uganda in their final Group C fixture, finishing with a 100% record.

The win means Nigeria will face the third-placed team from Group F in the round of 16, with their opponent to be confirmed after Wednesday’s final group matches.

Group F remains wide open, with Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mozambique all capable of finishing first, second, or third.

Cameroon take on Mozambique, while already-eliminated Gabon face reigning champions Côte d’Ivoire.

If Cameroon win, Nigeria will face Mozambique in Fes on January 5, regardless of the other result.

If Mozambique win, Cameroon could drop to second or third depending on Côte d’Ivoire’s outcome against Gabon, meaning Nigeria could face either Cameroon or Côte d’Ivoire.

Cameroon need only a draw to secure one of the two automatic qualification spots.

Whatever the permutations, Nigeria will play their fourth consecutive match in Fes, buoyed by their dominant group stage form and looking to extend their momentum into the knockout rounds.
