‘I Need Surgery and I Will Recover in A Maximum Of 5-6 Weeks’: Osimhen Confirms Arm Injury

Victor Osimhen has broken his silence after suffering a fractured arm in Galatasaray’s Champions League clash against Liverpool.

The Nigerian striker described the incident in detail, recalling how his arm collided with Ibrahima Konaté’s knee.

‘The ball was coming, I came with the defender, my hand was free, I don’t know if he brought his knee, my hand was free, his knee came to my arm.

‘At first, I didn’t realize it was broken. I thought it would pass before the end of the match. When I wanted to run, that thing weighed me down. It was as if my hand was falling off. I tried myself, but it didn’t work,’ said the Nigerian.

Osimhen emphasized that he has endured worse injuries in the past, referencing the multiple facial surgeries he has undergone.

‘I’m no stranger to this kind of thing anymore. I have experienced worse. You know that I have iron on my face right now. I have had about 18 screw operations on my face, and I still can’t eat with my right side.

‘So, this fracture is just a small thing for me,’ he said.

He also revealed that Liverpool players reached out after the match, with Konaté sending him a message on Instagram to express concern and clarify there was no intent to injure him.

Finally, Osimhen confirmed the timeline for his recovery.

‘I need surgery and I will recover in a maximum of 5–6 weeks.’
