CAF-WAFU B Women Administrators Workshop Ends on High Note in Abuja
The three-day CAF-WAFU B Women Football Administrators workshop concluded in Abuja on Tuesday, with participants hailing the programme as impactful and insightful.
Speaking on behalf of attendees, NFF Executive Committee member Aisha Falode praised CAF and WAFU-B for organizing the sessions, describing them as ‘very insightful and impactful.’
She emphasized that the workshop offered fresh strategies to advance women’s football, while reaffirming WAFU-B’s position as the dominant zone in African women’s football.
Deputy General Secretary Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme, representing the NFF leadership, expressed confidence that participants had gained valuable knowledge to transform the women’s game in their respective countries.
WAFU-B Executive Director Philippe Tchere lauded the NFF for its successful hosting of the event and commended CAF, facilitators, and stakeholders for their contributions.
The workshop featured notable facilitators including Nigeria legend Precious Dede, WAFU-B’s Football Development Manager, alongside CAF instructors Jules McGeever from England and Thuba Sibanda from Zimbabwe.
Also in attendance were CAF’s Head of Women Football Goshime Meskerem, WAFU-B Women’s Football Commission President Amina Amani, NFF Director of Communications Dr Ademola Olajire, NFF Director of Competitions Ms Ruth David, CAF Football Development Officer Yousra Oukhouya, and WAFU-B secretariat staff.
