Rangers’ Fernandez Tops Premiership Value Rise, Iheanacho Steady at Celtic

Emmanuel Fernandez has emerged as the biggest market value success story in the Scottish Premiership this season, with the Rangers centre-back’s valuation soaring by €9 million to €18 million.

The 24-year-old, who began the campaign valued at just €350,000, is now Rangers’ joint-most valuable player and the second-most valuable in the league behind Celtic’s Arne Engels (€20 million).

Fernandez’s meteoric rise has also placed him among the top Nigerian footballers globally, ranked number 8 among all players from Nigeria, number 125 among centre-backs worldwide, and number 83 among players born in 2001.

Other Nigerian stars in the Scottish Premiership have also seen notable shifts in their market values.

Celtic forward Kelechi Iheanacho, now 29, remains steady at €3 million while Hull City winger Ibrahim Said, aged 23, has enjoyed an upward trajectory, climbing to €2 million.

Aberdeen’s defensive midfielder Afeez Aremu, 26, has seen his valuation dip to €500,000, while Livingston’s 22-year-old attacking midfielder Samson Lawal holds firm at €150,000.
