NPFL Giants Kano Pillars Confirm Ogunmodede on Two-Year Deal

Kano Pillars have confirmed the appointment of Daniel Ogunmodede as their new technical adviser ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The four-time NPFL champions announced the move on Friday, with the 46-year-old expected to sign a two-year contract.

Ogunmodede arrives following a highly successful spell with Remo Stars, where he guided the club to its maiden NPFL title in the 2024/25 campaign.

His tenure at Remo Stars was marked by an attacking philosophy and disciplined tactical approach, transforming the side into consistent title contenders and regular participants in CAF interclub competitions before stepping down last season.

In addition to his club achievements, Ogunmodede currently serves as assistant coach to Éric Chelle with the Nigeria national football team.

His new role at Kano Pillars represents a fresh chapter in his managerial career, as he takes charge of one of Nigeria’s most storied football institutions.

The appointment signals Kano Pillars’ ambition to return to the summit of Nigerian football, with Ogunmodede’s proven track record expected to play a pivotal role in their pursuit of domestic and continental success.
