Udeze Questions Akor Adams’ Move from Sevilla to Venezia

Former Super Eagles defender Ifeanyi Udeze has questioned Akor Adams’ decision to leave Sevilla for Serie A newcomers Venezia, admitting that he is not impressed by the Nigerian striker’s transfer.

Adams completed a permanent move to Venezia from Sevilla in a deal reportedly worth around €17 million, with performance-related bonuses potentially taking the total value of the transfer close to €23.5 million.

‘I don’t like the move from Sevilla to Venezia but at the end of the day, it’s his career, he’s the one wearing the shoe, but I can only wish him all the best,’ Udeze said on Brila FM.

Adams, however, expressed his excitement about joining Venezia, saying he was attracted by the project being built by the club and believes the team belongs in Serie A.

‘I chose to come here because I see the extraordinary project Venezia is building, and I want to contribute to writing a new chapter in its history,’ Adams said.

The Nigerian striker also praised the club’s supporters, describing their passion and loyalty as unique while expressing his pride at becoming part of the Venezia project.
