Osimhen Receives Warning Over Unpaid Income Tax at Galatasaray

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen reportedly received a warning from a bank over unpaid income tax after Galatasaray allegedly failed to settle the tax obligation on his behalf.
According to Turkish reports, the Galatasaray forward was sent a warning letter after the club did not pay his income tax.
Osimhen reportedly brought the matter to the attention of the club, which subsequently settled the outstanding tax.
The development has also reportedly raised questions over Galatasaray’s handling of the income tax obligations of some of its players, with claims that the club has undertaken to pay taxes on behalf of certain members of the squad.
However, the club’s management has denied separate allegations that cheques issued to players had bounced.
Osimhen is currently with Galatasaray as the Turkish champions continue their preparations for the 2026/27 season in Austria.
The club began its pre-season campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Italian side Monza and is scheduled to face Venezia in its next friendly on Monday, July 27.
