Salah Effect: Trabzonspor Breaks All-Time Season Ticket Record

Mohamed Salah’s arrival at Trabzonspor has triggered an extraordinary surge in fan support, with the Turkish club breaking its all-time season-ticket sales record just days after completing the blockbuster signing of the Egyptian superstar.

Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan revealed that the club had sold more than 18,000 season tickets for the 2026/27 campaign, with the remarkable figure reached only three days after Salah’s arrival.

The record represents the highest season-ticket sales in the club’s history, underlining the immediate commercial impact of the former Liverpool star’s move.

Doğan said the club generated approximately 550 million Turkish lira in season-ticket sales in just three days, while figures for Salah-related shirt sales were still being compiled.

‘The only thing I trust is our fans, our own community,’ Doğan said, thanking supporters for their extraordinary response to the transfer.

The club also confirmed that the 18,000 mark represents a new record for combined season-ticket sales and immediately set a new target of 25,000 season tickets for the 2026/27 season.

The surge demonstrates the enormous ‘Salah effect’ at Trabzonspor. Beyond the excitement surrounding his arrival, the Egyptian’s signing has translated directly into unprecedented commercial and fan engagement, with supporters rushing to secure their season tickets and backing the club financially.

Trabzonspor now hopes Salah’s arrival can generate an even bigger wave of support as the club targets 25,000 season-ticket holders and prepares for the new campaign.
