Salah Could Make Trabzonspor Debut as Onuachu Targets 38th Super Lig Goal

Mohamed Salah has been included in Trabzonspor’s squad for Saturday’s opening-week Trendyol Süper Lig clash against Kasımpaşa, with the Egyptian superstar in line to make his debut for the Turkish club, while Nigeria striker Paul Onuachu begins the new campaign targeting his 38th league goal.

The fixture will be particularly significant for Onuachu, who finished the 2025/26 Süper Lig season as joint top scorer after netting 22 goals for Trabzonspor, sharing the Golden Boot with İstanbul Başakşehir’s Eldor Shomurodov.

The Nigerian scored his goals in 29 league appearances, underlining his importance to Trabzonspor’s attack.

Onuachu will now look to carry that prolific form into the new season, with Salah’s arrival adding another major attacking dimension to the Trabzonspor squad.

Salah could make his first appearance for the club against Kasımpaşa, creating considerable anticipation among supporters.

Trabzonspor completed their preparations at the Mehmet Ali Yılmaz Facilities on Friday before travelling to Istanbul by private plane. The club will be without injured players Muçi, Batagov and Okay Yokuşlu.

The match at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., with Onuachu hoping to begin his campaign with a goal while Salah targets a memorable Super Lig debut.
