Barcelona Agree £8.6m Deal to Sign Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus

Barcelona have reached an agreement in principle with Arsenal to sign Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus in a deal worth £8.6 million (€10 million), with all parties now working to complete the details of the transfer.

The 29-year-old is expected to travel to Spain as early as Monday to finalise the move as negotiations progress towards a conclusion.

The proposed transfer, however, does not bring an end to Barcelona’s pursuit of another forward, Julian Alvarez, with the two deals understood to be separate.

Arsenal are also close to completing the departure of Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieira after agreeing a deal with German club Hamburg worth around £7.7 million.

Vieira is already on his way to Germany to finalise the transfer.
