Euromatch NPFL.: Nasarawa United Eye Bounce Back Against Rivers United

Nasarawa United will be looking to return to winning ways when they host Rivers United at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday in the 2026/27 Euromatch NPFL.

The Solid Miners will be eager to put behind them their painful 2-1 defeat to reigning champions Rangers International in Owerri earlier this week.

Nasarawa United led 1-1 after the original game was abandoned in the 65th minute due to heavy rain, but conceded an 82nd-minute winner after play resumed the following day.

Now 15th on the table, the Lafia side will hope home advantage, tactical discipline and attacking intent can help them secure maximum points against third-placed Rivers United, who have six points from three matches.

Rivers United will also remember their last visit to Lafia, where Nasarawa United thrashed them 4-1 in the 2025/26 campaign.

Sunday’s clash kicks off at 4pm at the Lafia City Stadium.
