Okoye Keeps First Serie A Clean Sheet Of Season

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye kept his first clean sheet of the 2026/27 Serie A season on Wednesday as Udinese ended a six-match losing run with a goalless draw away to Parma.

The result earned Udinese their first Serie A point in seven matches, offering some relief after a difficult spell that has seen them win only once in the league this season, a 3-2 victory over Monza in August.

Okoye had endured a difficult start to the campaign, conceding 18 goals in eight league appearances before Wednesday’s encounter.

The Nigerian goalkeeper finally shut out the opposition against Parma, helping Udinese halt their slide and secure a much-needed point.

Since making his Serie A debut in December 2023, Okoye has now recorded 20 clean sheets in 85 appearances, while conceding 115 goals in the Italian top flight.

The draw provides a measure of relief for Udinese as they look to turn around their struggling league campaign.
