Ademola Lookman: ‘I am enjoying my football. Long may it continue’!

Nigerian relishing his experience with Atalanta after netting another winner

Nigeria international Ademola Lookman says he’s relishing his experience with Atalanta and Serie A after finding the net against Sassuolo.

Lookman scored the winner as his side, Atalanta came from a goal down to beat visiting Sassuolo 2-1 at the Gewiss Stadium.

It was the Nigerian’s third consecutive goal for the La Dea in the Serie A and fourth in 10 games. He has also bagged three assists.

Lookman’s goal is now the second winning goal he has scored for the Bergamo-based side.

The former RB Leipzig of Germany player who played on laon at Fulham and Leicester City in the Premier League in the last two seasons says they are happy to win a very

tough game and happy to stay top of the log, at least until Napoli play.

‘It was another tough match against another tough opponent, we’re glad to get the three points. The boys dug in deep and it was a resilient performance,’ Lookman told

Sky Sport Italia.

On the possibility of going on to win the Scudetto, the Nigerian says they will take it game by game.

‘Obviously that’s a long way away. Like I said before, we take it game by game, we’ve been doing that and getting results. We’re just happy to be top of the table for

now and then we’ll see how time goes.’

This has been Lookman’s best ever start to a season, a real revelation since his €9m transfer from RB Leipzig, although he was on loan at Leicester City last term.

‘I am very happy to be here, I feel very settled in the squad and the city. I am enjoying my football. Long may it continue!’
