AFCON 2023: Peseiro says Osimhen has been ‘fantastic’ for the Super Eagles

Osimhen was adjudged man of the match in Nigeria’s 2-0 victory against Cameroon in their last round of 16 clash but CAF named Ademola Lookman as the best player on the pitch.

Osimhen may have scored only once in the tournament but Peseiro believes he has been massive for the Super Eagles.

“He didn’t score but he had a fantastic game. It is not easy to stop that guy.

‘He created the first goal. He is fantastic for our team.

‘Ask the opposition defenders how much they suffered.

‘Nobody can win a match alone, everybody has to play, but he is a good example,’ Peseiro told the BBC.
