African Olympic Committee Finance Director Dyagas Turbaned in Gwong Chiefdom
Dr. Jonathan Dyagas, PhD, FCNA, FNIM, FCCrA, ACTI, and Finance Director of the African Olympic Committee, was turbaned as the Njet Gwong (Star of Gwong Chiefdom) by the Kpop Gwong, His Highness PZ Wyom, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Fadan Kagoma, Jemaa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The revered title, steeped in tradition, was conferred in recognition of his wisdom, integrity, and enduring contributions to national development.
The ceremony drew an impressive gathering of dignitaries, including members of the National and State Assemblies, representatives of the African Olympic Committee and Nigerian Olympic Commission, local government chairmen, the Sa’in Zazzau, nine traditional rulers from Zone III, the Vice President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, captains of industry, serving and retired officers of the armed forces and paramilitary, politicians, and religious leaders.
Their collective presence underscored the significance of the honor bestowed upon Dr. Dyagas.
