Alex Iwobi looking to extend goal-scoring record against Wolves
Seeks fourth goal in seven Premier League games against Wanderers
Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi has scored three times in three seasons against Wolves and the 26 year old will be seeking to make it four in four seasons when The
Wanderers visit Goodison Park on Boxing Day.
Prior to this season, Iwobi has scored four times for Everton since his switch from Arsenal in August 2019. Three of the goals have come against Wolves with a goal
once in a season.
The Nigerian has scored more in the Premier League against Wolves against any other club in the competition and he will be looking to extend that record on Boxing Day.
Iwobi has been one of the standout players in the Premier League so far this term, starting all the 15 games in the competition, scoring once and has bagged five
assists, his highest so far in a Premier League season.
If he starts, it will be his 16th in the competition this season and 31st in 2022 as he has started in all the 30 Premier League games he has featured in since Frank
Lampard took over as Everton boss at the start of the outgoing year.
The former Arsenal man will also be gunning for his 144th start in 199 games since he made his debut in the competition in October 2015.
He has scored 16 times and bagged 25 assists since then, winning 85 times.
