Alex Iwobi targets 16th goal, 21st assist and 82nd win in 180th EPL game

Alex Iwobi will be seeking to score his 16th goal and bag his 21st assist in what will be his 180th appearance in the Premier League if he plays Wednesday night at the Vicarage Road stadium where his side, Everton will square of against already relegated Watford.

The Super Eagles forward will also be eyeing his 82nd win in the competition as the Toffees are set continue in their bid to avoid the drop into the Skybet Championship.

Iwobi has made 179 appearances in the Premier League since he made his debut in October 2015 and has scored 15 times and assisted 20 times.

If he plays on Wednesday, he will move clear in the Nigerian players appearance list in the history of the competition as he is currently joint eighth with Celestine Babayaro.

If he bags an assist, he will also move clear in third position of Kelechi Iheanacho and Shola Ameobi who have also bagged 20 assists each.

And if he scores, he will become the joint 10th Nigerian top scorers with Odion Ighalo in the history of the competition with 16 goals.

He is already one of just 17 Nigerians to have hit double figure of goals in the competition.

Iwobi has scored just twice in 24 appearances in the competition so far this season and will equal his personal season’s best of three achieved in 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons while with Arsenal if he scores Wednesday night.

The Nigerian will also be seeking his sixth win and third goal in nine Premier League games against the Hornets.
