Amaju Pinnick storms Super Eagles camp, charges players to win 2024 AFCON for Gusau

FIFA Council Member and former President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has charged the Super Eagles to ensure the first major trophy the Alhaji Gusau led NFF will win is the AFCON next year.

Pinnick was at the team’s camp in Lagos Friday evening and joined the team at dinner together with NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, NFF Executive Committee member, Otunba Dele Ajayi.

The two-time NFF President urged the players and officials of the team to support the NFF led by Alhaji Gusau noting that he is a good man that wants the best for Nigerian football.

In response, team captain, Ahmed Musa assured that the team will fight hard to get the desired victory while team coach, José Peseiro thanked the players for
their commitment during preparation for the match against Sierra Leone.

Earlier, Alhaji Gusau thanked the players for always honouring national calls while urging them to give their all against Sierra Leone.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to jet out Saturday for their penultimate game in their qualifying group for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The team needs a draw to seal qualification to the competition it last won in 2013 in South Africa.
