Amusan grateful to God, thanks sponsors after a 2023 season to forget
Former World 100m hurdles champion, Tobi Amusan says God has been her strength throughout the 2023 athletics in which she had her biggest challenge ever.
The 26 year old was charged by the Athletics Integrity Unit in July with three Whereabouts Failures but cleared by a three man panel of arbitrators on the eve of the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
The double Commonwealth Games champion and record holder could not recover from the emotional trauma she suffered from the charge and could not successfully defend the world 100m hurdles title she won a year earlier in Oregon, USA.
Amusan took to her Facebook page on Wednesday evening to thank God and his sponsors, adidas, Premium Trust Bank, Globacom and Flutterwave.
