Ese Brume may also start in China, Ofili expected to join the train in 2024

Tobi Amusan will begin her bid for a fourth straight Diamond League 100m hurdles title in China in April 2024 after a detailed summary of which disciplines
will be staged at which meetings during the 2024 season was unveiled by the organizers on Tuesday.

Amusan made history as the second woman after USA’s Dawn Harper to win three consecutive Diamond League 100m hurdles title last September in Oregon and the
Nigerian will be aiming also become the second woman to win four in a row to equal Harper’s feat.

The 2024 Diamonmd League season begins in Xiamen on April 20th, with the women’s 100m hurdles among the headline events. The high hurdles will also feature
seven days later in Suzhou, also in China and Amusan is expected to feature in either or both of the two meetings before heading for Doha in May where her
event is also on the card.

There will be no Diamond League action for the Nigerian until August when the women’s 100m hurdles returns to the schedule at the Atlettisma in Lausanne,
Switzerland before heading to Silesia in Poland, three days later.

The Golden Gala in Rome and the Weltklasse in Zurich will also have the 100m hurdles in their schedule before the final in September at the Memorial van
Damme in Brussels, Blegium.

There will however be no Xiamen return for Ese Brume who may likely start her campaign in athletics’ premier one-day series at the Suzhou meeting also in
China where the women’s long jump will make its 2024 debut.

Brume became the second woman to compete in the Diamond League final in September in Oregon and the 27 year old will be hoping for another action in
September 2024 in Brussels where she will be looking to become the first Nigerian field eventer to win a Diamond League title.

Amusan and Brume are certain to be among the world’s best athletes who will once again take the stage in the money-spinning competition to compete for points at the 14 series meetings between April and September, with the most successful qualifying for the Final in Brussels on September 13th-14th.

It is expected that sprinter, who is now free from American collegiate commitments will join the train at a stage.
