Arsenal 2-1 Fulham: Odegaard & Gabriel keep Gunners top of EPL table

Duo happy with team's response as Arsenal hot steak goes on

Arsenal remain top of the Premier League table after their 2-1 comeback win over Fulham.

A Gabriel mistake allowed Aleksandar Mitrovic to give the away side the lead before Martin Odegaard quickly levelled things up.

The defender redeemed himself late on by scoring the winner to maintain the Gunners’ 100% record this season.

“After I lost the ball my head was down, but my brothers kept saying ‘Let’s go’. I lifted my head up – my team-mates were a big help to me. After the referee said handball, I just asked God. I’m so happy with my team and the three points. It’s a big fight. I’m so happy,” said a delighted Gabriel after the game.

Arsenal first goalscorer Odegaard is estatic with the team’s togetherness.

“It was brilliant. We knew it was going to be a tough game, Fulham are a strong team, but we showed great sprit and fight. We played really well in the first half, we just lacked the goal; Gabriel’s mistake is football, it happens and I’m proud of the way he came back and got the winning goal. There’s great chemistry here at the moment,” he said.
