Arsenal target 300th win at Emirates, return to the top of Premier League table

Xhaka set for 200th game for Gunners, eyes personal record equalling fourth goal of campaign

Arsenal will be looking to chalk up their 300th victory at Emirates Stadium when they host Nothingham Forest Sunday afternoon in a Premier League match week 14 fixture.

The Gunners will be hosting Steve Cooppers’ side for the first time in a Premier League game in 23 years and Mikel Arteta and his men have history behind them as they seek a ninth consecutive home win in the competition this season.

Victory for the home team on Sunday will return them to the summit of the league after Manchester City leapfrogged the Gunners with their hard-earned 1-0 win at Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

Arsenal are unbeaten in 34 games against promoted teams (W29 D5) and have won each of their last seven Premier League games against promoted sides, last winning eight in a row between January 2013 and April 2014.

The visitors are looking to win consecutive Premier League games for the first time in over 20 years following their 1-0 win against Liverpool last time out

They will be hoping to be only the third team out of 41 to win their first Premier League trip to Emirates stadium, after West Ham and Hull City.

Meanwhile, Granit Xhaka can mark his 200th Premier League match with a fourth goal of the season egualling his season-best haul.
