Atalanta Slap €35m Price Tag as Lookman Pushes for Exit
Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has reportedly informed Atalanta that he wants to leave the club during the current transfer window, with the Serie A side now demanding €35 million for his services.
The 28-year-old was close to joining Inter Milan last summer, but Atalanta’s €45 million valuation scuppered the deal, despite the Nerazzurri being willing to pay up to €40 million.
The failed transfer saga, coupled with Lookman briefly going AWOL, dominated headlines before he eventually reconciled with the club’s hierarchy and returned to action.
This season, however, Lookman has struggled to mentally settle at the Gewiss Stadium and has been linked with moves to Turkey, with Galatasaray and Fenerbahce both showing interest.
His national teammate Victor Osimhen even admitted he has been persuading Lookman to join him at RAMS Park in Istanbul.
According to MatchdayHQ, the Nigerian international remains firm in his desire to leave. ‘Ademola Lookman has told Atalanta he wants to LEAVE, with the club now setting a €35m asking price,’ the outlet wrote on X.
Lookman’s form at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco further boosted his profile. He scored three goals and provided four assists as Nigeria finished third, including netting the decisive penalty in the shootout victory over Egypt in the bronze medal match.
His performances earned him a place in CAF’s Best XI for the second consecutive tournament.
