Awoniyi set to miss 17th Premier League game this season

Taiwo Awoniyi will not be available for Nothingham Forest on Sunday when they visit Everton at Goodison Park in a Premier League match week 34 fixture.

Forest coach, Nuno Espírito Santo told the media during his press conference that Awoniyi will miss his 17th Premier League game this season with the trip to Everton.

‘Taiwo (Awoniyi) hasn’t joined the group yet. He is still partially integrated into the group. Maybe in the middle of the week, he’ll be able to do something with us,’ Santo stated.
Awoniyi has featured 17 times in the competition so far this term and has started 12 of the games.

He has scored six times and bagged three assists to stay second behind Chris Wood who is the club’s top scorer with 12 goals.

Awoniyi is however the top scoring Nigerian in the Premier League so far and may end up so for the second straight season.
