Awoniyi to miss Forest’s pre-season training camp in Spain for personal reason

Super Eagles forward, Taiwo Awoniyi will not be part of Nottingham Forest’s travelling contingent when they make the trip this week to their training camp in Spain.
The Nigerian will miss the camp for personal reasons, according to reports.
Head coach, Nuno Espirito Santo had announced the Nigerian picked up a knock during training last week but the 26-year-old is not missing the trip to Spain on account of that. Rather, he will not be in Spain for undisclosed personal reasons.
Awoniyi will thus miss his club’s three friendlies lined up for them in Spain.
The Nigerian joined the club in July 2022 and has featured 53 times across all competitions and has scored 17 goals. He also provided four assists.
He was Forest’s top scorer in the Premier League with 10 goals in his first season on England and finished third with six goals behind Chris Wood (14) and Callum Hudson-Odoi (8) last season.
