Victor Osimhen has declared Galatasaray ready for their UEFA Champions League showdown with Barcelona after returning to action in Friday’s 3-1 victory over Kasımpaşa in the Turkish Süper Lig.

The Nigerian striker, who had been sidelined for 35 days with a groin injury, was included in Galatasaray’s matchday squad for the encounter at RAMS Park.

Asked whether Galatasaray were ready for the Champions League meeting with Barcelona, Osimhen responded confidently: ‘We are ready. It will be a great match.’

The 27-year-old also praised Galatasaray’s supporters, describing their backing as incredible both on and off the pitch.

‘They are incredible both on and off the pitch,’ Osimhen said, adding that the players were fighting for the fans, the club’s crest and the institution.
