Chelesea 0-1 Arsenal: Gunners Send ‘Catch Us If You Can’ Message To Manchester City

Become first side to win 10 EPL away games against Chelsea and just the second visiting side to win three in a row at Stamford Bridge

For the third season in a row Arsenal have taken all points on their visit to the Stamford Bridge after beating Chelsea 1-0 Sunday afternoon thanks to Gabriel Magalhães’s goal from Bukayo Saka’s corner to go back to the top of the Premier League.

Gabriel has now scored nine goals from corner situations in the Premier League, the most of any player in the competition since he joined prior to the 2020-21 campaign.

It was also Mikel Arteta’s 89th win in 150 games in charge of the Gunners across all competitions since he was hired to replace Unai Emery in December 2019.

The Gunners have become the first side to win 10 Premier League away games against Chelsea, while they’re just the second visiting side to win three in a row at Stamford Bridge after Blackburn Rovers (1993-94 to 1995-96).

Arsenal have now sent ‘catch us if you can’ message to Manchester City, their closest challenger in the battle for the Premier League title.

Premier League pundit Andy Townsend believes Mikel Arteta’s men have been better in every department of the game.

‘Arsenal have been much the better team today, all round. They’ve been sharper, connected much better and some of their football, particularly in the first half, has been lovely. Particularly in these big, tight games, they could do with getting a few more shots away – but overall they’ve been much better than Chelsea.’
