Chelsea plan €65m opening bid for Osimhen

Chelsea are keen on luring Victor Osimhen away from Naples to West London and are planning an opening bid of €65m for the Nigeria international, according to Italian media outlet, Calciomercato.

The newspaper says Chelsea will make the move when the winter transfer window opens in January.

The Blues, according to the newspaper are eager to lure the young attacker to Stamford Bridge in order to improve their depth within the front-line.

Osimhen has scored 28 goals in 58 appearances for Napoli in the Serie A since he joined the Italian topflight side from Ligue 1 side, Lille in the summer of 2019.

This season, Osimhen, 23, has netted five times and bagged one assist in nine games across all competitions for Luciano Spalletti side.

He was linked with many Premier League sides last summer with Manchester United rumoured to be looking for a perfect replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo who was also linked with making an Old trafford exit last summer.

Osimhen’s contract with Napoli will end in the summer of 2025 and the Nigerian, through his agent has reiterated his desire to stay in Naples.
