Chicharito offers to return to Manchester United and play for free!

Manchester United have had a very tough start to the season after losing at home against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The situation surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo and their need for more reinforcements in the transfer market is one of the hottest topics in football.

One player who thinks that he can lend a hand is former United striker Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez. The Mexican is currently playing in MLS for LA Galaxy.

He has admitted that he would play for free if United came and said that they want him back at the club.

“If you are my age and United comes I would say ‘yes, I’ll play for free’,” he said in a press conference.

“Of course I would do that, but I want to be very respectful [to LA Galaxy].

“My mind and convictions are about winning a championship with LA Galaxy.”

The last time that the 34-year-old played in Europe, it was with LaLiga Santander side Sevilla. He had a limited impact, though, scoring once in nine appearances.

He signed for Manchester United in 2010 from Guadalajara and he played over 100 times for the Premier League side, scoring over 30 times without ever really holding down a starting role in the team.

He spent a year on loan at Real Madrid before signing for Bayer Leverkusen and then West Ham United.
