Chidozie Awaziem: I’m good to go vs Guinea-Bissau

Alanyaspor of Turkey defender Chidozie Awaziem says he is fit and rearing to go after resuming training with the Super Eagles on Monday ahead of their final group game against Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday.

The 25 year old missed the Super Eagles opening two games against Sudan and Egypt due to ankle injury and has told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) he is fit and available for Wednesday’s game.

The Alanyaspor of Turkey was in buoyant mood throughout the training session at the VSTS-ANNEX, Roumde Adjia Stadium, Garoua.

“I feel happy, I am very good now. I had a little knock and I was doing recovery with the physios, right now I am back,” Awaziem told the NAN.

On if he will play against Guinea-Bissau in the Super Eagles’ final group game, Awaziem says only the team’s interim coach, Austin Eguavoen can decide that.

“Hopefully, It’s the decision of the coach but I know right now I’m good to go. Everyone is ready, every game is important so we are going to go for victory.”

The Super Eagles are top of the group D table and will play the third best placed team in either group B, E or F.
