Chukwueze makes 200th appearance for Villarreal
Samuel Chukwueze made his 200th appearance for Villarreal Thursday evening when the Yellow Submarine defeated visiting Espanyol 4-2 at the Estadio de la Ceramica in a LaLiga matchweek 31 clash.
The Nigerian made his senior Villarreal debut in September 2018 in a 2-2 Europa League draw with Glasgow Rangers. He made his LaLiga debut for the club in the 1-1 draw against Levante in November 2018.
Since then,the 23 year old has netted 37 times and provided 31 assists across all competitions.
He has featured in 148 LaLiga games for the club, scoring 21 times and provided 18 assists. In the Copa Del Rey he has netted nine times in 14 appearances while in Europe, he has found the back of the net seven times in 38 games with 20 of the games coming in the Europa League where he has scored just twice.
The Nigeria international is having his best season in Spain in the current campaign, reaching double figure in terms of goals and assists for the first time in a single season across all competitions.
He has scored 13 times and provided 11 assists in 43 games so far this season, surpassing the 10 goals and four assists he made in his maiden season in Spain playing for the main Villarreal team.
