Samuel Chukwueze tops the list of Villarreal players Unai Emery is looking to bring to Aston Villa, report AS.
The Basque coach was appointed as the new Aston Villa manager last week and he pulled off a historic win against Manchester United over the weekend in his first game at Villa Park.
It is believed that Emery is planning to bring three of his former Villarreal players to the Premier League – namely Yeremi Pino, Chukwueze and Nicolas Jackson – to help avoid relegation with the Birmingham-based outfit.
All three players mentioned above were part of the Yellow Submarine side that reached the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.
According to Transfermarkt, the three players have a combined value of just under €60m, which could potentially be within Aston Villa’s budget.
Chukwueze has featured 176 times for Villarreal with 94 of the appearances coming under Emery as manager.
The Nigerian has scored 27 times and bagged 24 assists with 14 of the goals and 15 of the assists achieved under the new Aston Villa coach.
Emery joined Villarreal in July 2020 and took charge of 130 games as the gaffer.
