Club Brugge lands Raphael Onyedika
Club Brugge and FC Midtjylland reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Raphael Onyedika.
Onyedika (21) is a defensive midfielder with experience as a central defender.
The acadamy graduate of Nigerian outfit FC Ebedei moved to Europe as a 19-year-old playing on loan for FC Frederica where he was picked up by FC Midtjylland.
Last season Onyedika impressed in the Sportligaen and Europa League and lifted the Danish Cup.
He started 20 of the 22 games he played in the league, scoring twice and bagging an assist.
In the Europa League he started five of the six games he played for the club, missing the sixth through suspension.
He saw his great season rewarded with the Best Youngster Award in Denmark.
This season he has started all nine games he has featured in for FC Midtjylland viz three in the qualifiers for the UEFA Champions League and all six in the Danish Sportligaen.
He now signed a deal with Club until 2027.
