Coventry City Secure Onyeka on Permanent Deal

Coventry City have confirmed their first signing for the upcoming Premier League season, completing the permanent transfer of Nigeria international Frank Onyeka.
The midfielder initially joined the Sky Blues on loan from Brentford in January, with an option to make the move permanent should Coventry achieve promotion.
Following Friday’s draw at Blackburn Rovers, which sealed the club’s return to the top flight, that clause has now been activated.
Onyeka has featured prominently since his arrival, making 12 appearances and starting 11 matches. He scored his first goal for the club in the thrilling 3-2 victory over Derby earlier this month, further endearing himself to supporters.
Coventry City manager and board expressed delight at securing Onyeka’s services, highlighting his energy, ball-winning ability, and commitment as key attributes that will strengthen the squad ahead of the challenges of Premier League football.
The signing marks the beginning of Coventry’s recruitment drive as they prepare to compete among England’s elite next season.
