Dennis set to return, seeks EPL record vs West Ham

Kalu targets debut goal for Watford

Watford manager Roy Hodgson will have Emmanuel Dennis back for Watford’s Premier League clash with West Ham after his suspension.

The Nigerian was suspended after he received a second yellow card in Watford’s 3-0 loss to visiting Norwich City last month at the Vicarage Road stadium and missed the goalless draw at Burnley on Saturday.

Dennis has scored eight goals and bagged five assists in 19 appearances in his first season in the Premier League and the 25 year old will be hoping to score his ninth in his first game under new manager, Roy Hogdson.

If he scores at the London stadium Tuesday night, West ham will become the first club the Nigerian will score against twice in the same season.

The former Club Brugge of Belgium forward was on target in December when the Hammers walloped their host 4-1. Dennis scored the opening goal of the encounter and his strike was adjudged the best by a Watford player in the month of December.

Meanwhile Samuel Kalu will be hoping to make his Premier League debut on Tuesday after he failed to make the matchday squad list for the draw at Burnley following his deadline day transfer from Ligue 1 side, Bordeaux.

The 24 year old has trained for well over a week with his new teammates and will he is ready for his Premier League bow.

The Super Eagle will be seeking to follow in the footsteps of his predecessors at the club, Odion Ighalo and Dennis who both scored on their debut.

If he emulates the duo, he will then become the fifth Nigerian player to score on his Premier League debut after Ighalo, Dennis, Peter Odemwingie and John Utaka.
