Iwobi Seeks First Goal, First Win Against Man City In 12 Games 

Everton forward Alex Iwobi will be seeking to put an end to his winless run and goal drought against Manchester City Saturday evening when the Toffees host the Cityzens at Goodison Park.

Iwobi has featured 11 times against Manchester City in all competitions and has lost nine of the games including seven in nine Premier League matches. The 25 year old has neither scored nor provided an assist in all games.

The Nigerian international forward will now be seeking a double against Manchester City viz a win and a goal.

If he scores, it will also be his first for the Toffees since he scored against Wolves at the start of November last year.
It will also be his first Premier League goal against a team other than Wolves.

Iwobi has scored thrice in 70 Premier League games since he switched the Emirates stadium for Goodison Park in August 2019 and the goals have come against Wolves, one goal in each of the three seasons he is spending at the club now.

Frank Onyeka

At the Brentford Community stadium, Frank Onyeka will be itching to return to action after he was benched for Brentford last two Premier League games.

The 24 year old has started 12 of the 18 games he has featured in the competition in his debut season. He will also be seeking for his first goal involvement for the club.

Emmanuel Dennis

At the Old Trafford, Emmanuel Dennis looks to be the surest of four Nigerians that will start for Watford against Manchester United.

Dennis has started 22 of the 23 games he has played in the Premier League for the Hornets, scoring nine times.

Interestingly, one of the nine goals came against the Red Devils when they capitulated at the Vicarage Road stadium in a 4-1 drubbing last December.

Dennis sealed the 4-1 win after providing two assists in the comprehensive win.

Samuel Kalu

While Dennis will be out to hit double figures in front of goal in 24 games in the competition, Samuel Kalu will be eager to overcome a slight ankle injury and make his Premier League debut.

The 24 year old joined Watford from Ligue 1 side, Bordeaux during the winter transfer window but has not featured in the competition for his new club.

Super Eagles vice captain William Troost-Ekong will also be eager to play his first game for the club in the league since New year day when he featured for all 90 minutes in the Hornets 1-0 loss to Tottenham.

Saturday’s game may have come too soon for Peter Etebo who only last week returned to full training at the club after over five months on the sidelines due to a knee injury.
