Electric Eze Tops Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Week

Eberechi Eze’s deserved selection topped Alan Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Week after his historic hat-trick in the north London derby fired Arsenal six points clear at the summit of the table.
The midfielder was electric around the edge of the box, dictating play and delivering the kind of performance that underlined his growing influence in Mikel Arteta’s side.
Shearer hailed Eze as the standout star of Matchweek 12, but Everton’s remarkable triumph at Old Trafford also dominated his choices.
Jordan Pickford, who produced six stunning saves to deny Manchester United, was joined by teammates Michael Keane and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the XI. Their resilience helped Everton become the first team in Premier League history to win at Old Trafford with 10 men.
Elsewhere, Newcastle’s Harvey Barnes and Malick Thiaw were rewarded for their contributions in a spirited display against Manchester City, while Nottingham Forest’s Murillo and Elliot Anderson earned recognition for their commanding roles in a shock 3-0 win at Liverpool.
Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, Chelsea’s Pedro Neto, and West Ham’s Callum Wilson also made the cut, with Shearer naming Forest boss Sean Dyche as his manager of the week for masterminding the Anfield upset.
