Etebo set for Watford return after five months out injured
Dennis aiming to make Premier League history
Peter Etebo will be available for selection on Saturday when Watford visits the Villa Park to face host, Aston Villa in a Premier League matchweek 26 fixture.
The Nigerian returned to full training this week, with the 26-year-old having stepped up his recovery from a quad injury sustained against Newcastle United in September.
Etebo missed 18 Premier League games because of that and was also unavailable for Nigeria’s short but historic Africa Nations Cup campaign in Cameroun last month.
The Super Eagles midfielder featured in just Premier League games before he got injured, starting four and was subbed on in the other two.
One of the games in which the on loan player featured in was against Aston Villa in the Hornets’ opening Premier League of the season upon theri return to the Englisg top flight league.
Etebo was on for all 90 minutes in the game as Watford defeated the visitors 3-2 with another Nigerian and debutant like Etebo, Emmanuel Dennis scoring once and bagging an assist.
Dennis who has not scored in his last five games in the competition will be eager to relaunch himself with another goal against Aston Villa.
If he scores, Villa will be the first team in the Premier League the Nigerian would score twice against in a Premier League season.
Dennis has scored eight times and bagged five assists in 21 Premier League games for Watford so far this season.
The Hornets currently sit in 19th position, six points behind Newcastle United in 17th.
