Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi will be seeking to make his 155th start in 210 Premier League appearances when he files out for the Toffees at the Goodison Park where they will be facing Brentford on Saturday.
The former Arsenal player who switched the Emirates stadium for Goodison Park in 2019 has started all the 26 Premier League games the Toffees have played so far this term and if he starts on Saturday, it will not just be his 27th of the season but 42nd since January 2022.
Iwobi made his Premier League in October 2015 as a substitute against Swansea at the Liberty stadium and didn’t start his first game until March of the following year when he featured for 86 minutes and scored once in Arsenal’s 2-0 win at Everton.
Since then, he has started 154 times in 209 Premier League games.
It will be however his 110th game for Evertin in the competitions since he joined in August 2019 and has scored just five times while he featured in 100 games for Arsenal and scored 11 goals.
Iwobi will not just be looking to make his 210th appearance, he will also be aiming to move into third place and above Victor Moses in the number of minutes played in the competition by a Nigerian.
The 26 year old only needs just five minutes of action on Saturday to move above Moses into third behind Mikel Obi (16,228 minutes) and Wilfred Ndidi (15,186 minutes).
He is just three assists behind Nwankwo Kanu in the all-time assists list by a Nigerian .
