Everton Vs Leicester City: Iheanacho, Iwobi start; Lookman on the bench

Kelechi Iheanacho has been restored to the starting line up for Leicester City in Wednesday evening’s game at Goodison Park against Everton after two consecutive substitute appearances for his 10th start of the season in 23 games in the competition.

It will also be his 66th start in 165 appearances since he made his Premier league debut in August 2015.

The 25 year old has been involved in four goals in his last four appearances against the Toffees in the competition (two goals and two assists) and he has played just 157 minutes across these four matches, averaging a goal or assist every 39 minutes against the Toffees in that run.

He will now be hoping to score his third goal in his ninth appearance against their host.

While Iheanacho is returning to the starting line up, his compatriot, Ademola Lookman has been returned to the substitutes’ bench after starting the last two games in the competition for the Foxes.

Alex Iwobi is however making his fifth straight start for the homers for what will be his 15th start in 21 games so far this season and 121st in 176 games since he made his Premier League debut in October 2015.

The game will be the former Arsenal player’s ninth across all competitions against the Foxes and he will be looking to score his first goal against the visitors to add to his lone assist in the Toffees 2-0 win in December 2020 in a Premier League game at the King Power stadium.
