Fabrizio Romano: Osimhen keen to join PSG, to earn €12m a year
International football expert and journalist, Fabrizio Romano says Victor Osimhen is keen to return to the Ligue 1, this time to billionaires’ club, Paris Saint-Germain, PSG.
‘Victor Osimhen, keen to join PSG and open to a transfer if they can agree a deal/fee with Napoli. It would be very much at the top of PSG’s list, if a central striker left,” the well-known transfer expert wrote on X.
Italian news outlets, Il Mattino and Calcio Napoli 24 are also reporting that the Nigerian to fly to Paris on Wednesday or Thursday to sign the contract with PSG.
The news outlets further reveal that negotiations were concluded when both clubs’ presidents became part of the negotiations, thus putting an end to a long drama surrounding the Nigerian.
The reports say Napoli CEO Aurelio De Laurentiis did not want the inclusion of players in the deal from Les Parisiens and Nasser Al-Khelaifi committed to paying the full release clause of €120 million.
PSG, it was also reported, will offer Osimhen a salary of €12 million per year.
Osimhen joined Napoli in September 2020 from Lille. He scored 76 goals and provided 18 assists in 133 games for the Partenopei.
