Nigeria goalkeeper Jane Ijirigho has been named the tallest player at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, standing at an impressive 1.92m.
According to FIFA, the Flamingos goalkeeper retains the distinction after also being the tallest player at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland earlier this year.
Poland goalkeeper Hanna Buchta is the closest challenger in height at 1.82m, leaving Ijirigho 10 centimetres taller than her nearest rival at the tournament.
FIFA also highlighted Nigeria’s Ayomide Rotimi among the players returning for another appearance at the U-17 Women’s World Cup. Rotimi made five appearances across the previous two editions.
Four players are returning for a third U-17 Women’s World Cup, with Mexico’s Reyes seeking to set an appearance record, while DPR Korea goalkeeper Ryu Mi-hong is preparing for her third tournament without having played a minute in either of her previous participations.
