Finidi thrilled to lead Eagles to first win Vs Ghana since 2006

Super Eagles interim coach, Finidi George says he feels happy to be the first man since 2006 to secure a win over bitter rivals, Ghana after leading his team to a 2-1 win in an international friendly in Marrakech, Morocco on Friday evening.
‘I feel happy. It’s not easy. We know the rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana, so you know, coming here to win this game is a good one for me,’ said the former Super Eagles winger who played at the 1994 World Cup.
Finidi also disagreed he kept the formation from the 34th Africa Cup of Nations that the previous coach, Jose Peseiro used.
‘We didn’t keep the same formation, I think we played with 3-5-2 but in the AFCON, you could see that it was only victor Osimhen that played upfront and we felt he was doing so much running alone.’
